Latshon’ilanga (The sun has set), a reflective piece, is also the title of a Xhosa bow song for girls’ initiation, and there is a distant reference to its melody. This piece exhibits a structure often found in Bartók’s ‘Mikrokosmos’: the melody is repeated in the left hand and the accompaniment in the right hand.
